It’s All About the Boats

Check out Moss Boats’ latest fleet and continue to follow us for updates!

#61 - 2004 Proline 22ft WA 225hp 4-stroke

Whats the saying? Oh yeah, we love Prolines, that is all. Proline makes such a sturdy boat and they have great lines. This one is stacked with everything you need, nothing you don’t. The engine is a Yamaha 225hp 4-stroke. It is a V6 and was just rebuilt so it has 6-hours on it. SIX! This boat fly’s and will do 45mph easily. Doesn’t need much and will be ready to rip all over San Diego.

#60 - 2002 Triumph 19ft CC 140hp 4-stroke

These boats are great aren’t they! We are huge fans of Triumphs. Especially in this 19-21ft size. We had a 19ft last year and it was awesome. VERY Fast little boat with the same engine. When this one popped up in Texas I knew we had to have it. It has a tower and the last one didn’t. A few little things it needs like lights, VHF, fish finder, some new switches and she is ready to hit open ocean. Perfect for the bay and La Jolla or wherever. These boats are super fun and always a hit.

#59 - 2003 Triton 21ft CC 225hp 4-stroke

Well there you go, we have TWO Sea Hunt boats now. The triton is an amazing model and you really can’t go wrong. This one is a 21ft so 2ft smaller than its big brother. But it has the same engine! 225hp on a 21ft boat = FUN! This boat flys. 45mph easily. Nothing wrong with it. Everything works and it really didn’t need anything. Happy to add it to the fleet.

#58 - 2003 Triton 23ft CC 225hp 4-stroke

We wanted a fun boat for the 2024 season. Something we can take our families out on, fish on the weekends, go deep offshore, etc. Sea Hunt makes an awesome platform. We have had a few and they always handle the water the best. They are built super strong, sturdy and typically have good engine packages. This one is no exception. Huge live well and all the electronic goodies. Has a 225hp 4-stroke with low hours. We love this boat and we’ll be keeping it around for the summer. At least for now!

#57 - 2007 Triumph 21ft CC 140hp 4-stroke

As you can tell, we like Triumphs! This boat also comes from Texas. Paired with a 240hr Suzuki 140hp 4-stroke, this is the perfect combo. Boat, trailer and engine are all original to the package and nothing has been tampered with. Everything works just as it should and makes for an awesome fishing and family platform. These boats typically sell fast and they have an awesome following.

#56 2006 Triumph 21ft CC 150hp 4-stroke

We have had a few of these plastic tub boats and they are awesome! Paired with a clean and low hour Yamaha 150hp 4-stroke you really can’t go wrong. This one is coming from Florida and everything works. These boats are indestructible. They can’t sink even if you tried. The last Triumph we had did really well tail end of last season, so we figured as we jump start into the 2024 season this would be a great boat to the mix. Excited to get it here and into the hands of our awesome customer base.

#55 2007 Sea Fox 23ft WA 250hp 4-stroke

We had a beautiful 23ft Proline WA last year (boat #44) and that boat was one of the favorite in the MossBoats fleet. I was scouring the internet and found this beauty down in deep south Florida. I spoke to the seller with a video call and quickly knew it was THE boat for us. Every April we do a fishing trip on one of the boats, and this is what we consider our ‘birthday boat’. We work hard, but we play hard and as you imagine we use all of these boats whenever we get a chance. This 250hp 4-stroke is the perfect package for this beast. Loaded with extra features like windlass anchor, 9” gps, flood lights throughout, 45g live well, this boat will get it done!

#54 2006 Balm Beach 21ft CC 150hp 4-stroke

Our first Palm Beach boat. But certainly not our first 20-22ft center console with a 4-stroke. We love these types of boats. They cruise great. They are cheap and there seems to be lots of them around. Cheap doesn’t mean they skimp out on any quality you ‘d expect from a bigger boat. These little CC’s will get you to the grounds every time and your wallet with thank you on gas. This palm Beach came from Alabama and is in great shape. Needs really nothing. The entire boat was rewired which is a huge win for us. Like most boats out there, the wiring is always atrocious.

#53 2009 SeaFox 21ft CC 175hp 4-stroke

First boat of the 2024 season and here we are. SeaFox makes an incredible boat and always has. This is the current more modern hull design and has an array of upgrades compared to some of the older SeaFox boats we have had. Starting with the live well, it is massive. Probably 40g and painted blue. The deck is extremely spacious and you can’t ever go wrong with a nice big open cockpit on a center console. New upholstered interior cushions all the way around. Paired with an original 175hp Suzuki 4-stroke this boat is the business. Supporting just over 700hrs it is a great platform for anyone looking to go way off shore and then spend time with the family in the bay.

#52 2002 Triumph 19ft CC 140hp 4-stroke

Little boat for the win! When you see a little boat that fits the bill and has potential, sometimes you just gotta say ‘LETS DO IT’. Little guy supports a 140hp 4-stroke which means its going to fly being only 19ft long. It is clear we like Triumph boats, but so does all of San Diego. These indestructable hulls make them the perfect boat for anyone looking to get off shore. You can go to the bay and rip around or you can go fishing all day. This one doesn’t have a tower, but it does have a bimini top to keep you out of the sun. And that shotgun front seat is going to be a great place to kill fish.

#51 2006 Scout 22ft DC 225hp 4-stroke

There we go! Our first Scout boat. Scout makes an incredibly nice boat and it shows all over with their quality craftsmanship. This is a 222 scout dual console. Which makes it the second dual console Moss Boats has done. Our other one was boat #4. It has been a while because they are SUPER rare. And to see a Scout 222 DC with a tower is unheard of! This tower is actually off of a 25’ and was retrofitted a bit to fit the 22’ hull. So its big, real big! Has a fiberglass top, speakers and lights molded into it along with 4 rod holders. Has a live well, huge JL Audio speaker system and tons of comforts. This will be a great family boat not only for us but for another awesome San Diego family member.

#50 2001 Cobia 23ft CC 225hp 4-stroke

There we have it, #50! If you told me 2 years ago we would have boughten 50 boats I would have laughed. This has been an amazing adventure and always looking to add to the Moss Boats family. This is a 2001 Cobia 234 Center Console fishing boat. We had one of these last year and it was a super fun platform. Cobia makes a tank of a hull and paired up with a 225hp 4-stroke you really can’t go wrong. This boat is super clean and has been well cared for. Packed with extras like a decent GPS, stereo, working live well / bilge it should be a clean boat for us to put our signature touch on. It will be a beast of a fish killer out here in San Diego.

#49 2002 Triumph 21ft CC 140hp 4-stroke

Here we go, another triumph! We love these boats. They are super sturdy, fairly easy to find, reliable and always have great engine packages. 140hp 4-stroke is super similar to another triumph we had, boat #37. We did pretty good on that boat and had quite a few people interested in it. Figured we’d do it again on a reliable Triumph that never goes out of style. Coming for Mobile, Alabama. This one needs a quick bath and to go through it top to bottom to ensure it is safe, reliable and everything works. But overall, will be a great addition to the MossBoats fleet!

#48 2005 Angler 26ft CC TWIN 150’s

NO WAY! It finally happened! Our first twin center console fishing boat. YEEEHAW we are so stoked on this boat and that MossBoats has finally entered a whole new era of boats. After 47 boats, we had the opportunity to step it up and get into the big leagues. Angler makes some amazing boats and it has been said over and over that the 2600 center console is the best boat they ever made. It is basically a Contender, which if you know anything about, is by far the most superior center console manufacturer ever made. Features a complete walk around bow with no seating up front. Just a high bolstered fishing rail to follow your fish all around the boat. Easily this will be our favorite boat in the fleet and we are so excited to see what she can do. Live wells, dual fish finders, hard top, endless rod holders, outriggers, this boat packs it all. Coming from Miami, FL this boat is VERY fishy.

#47 1980 Whaler Montauk 17 90hp 4-stroke

Here we go again! We had a 17’ Montauk last season and it did great! It was actually a 2-stroke and still was a hot little boat. When I found this one from a father / son in Baton Rouge I knew it would be the one! It supports a 90-hp Honda 4-stroke. SUPER clean hull with all ugpraded wood and a 20g polly tank. They are super rare and go for quite a bit of money even for an older one like this. These single axle trailers are always a risk but it was too clean to pass up. This boat needs nothing and is ready to fish anywhere in San Diego.

#46 2004 Cobia 18 CC 115 4-stroke

When you see the list of Cobia boats we’ve had, it is clear we like them big. REAL big. This boat is taking MossBoats in a different direction. We decided we wanted to find a smaller boat that would fit in someones garage. When I found this one I knew it would fit the bill! It has a 115hp 4-stroke and get this, only 50hrs on it! Literally brand new. The story goes some dude bought it for his girlfriend to impress her. Kept it in storage for 15 years and then sold it to his neighbor. We bought it from him. The boat will do 45mph and be able to fish locally or out offshore all day long. This is a perfect starter boat for someone who wants to get into the game or just go chase fish. Excited to see what it will do!

#45 2006 Sea Chaser 21 CC 200 4-stroke

These boats are just absolute tanks. They have deep V hulls and are super simple in nature. Has a large 2 scoop live well in the back and thats about all the comforts it has. But, thats all it needs because this is a fishing machine. Has a 200hp 4-stroke outboard with only 350hrs. It is super clean and has a massive t-top to keep you in the shade. This boat will stay pretty minimal as we don’t need to do much to it to attract a buyer. This thing will go almost 50mph and kill fish all day long.

#44 2004 Proline 23 WA 300 4-stroke

There we go! Our first walk around of the season. Has 140g fuel tank. 22 degree dead-rise. Huge aluminum tower with fiberglass top. AND of course a massive engine. This boat has a newer 2008 Suzuki 300hp 4-stroke outboard and fly by wire. Will push 53 MPH. This boat is one of my favorite layouts ever made. We had a 23’ WA proline on boat #31 and it was awesome. The problem was it had a 225 2-stroke which isn’t as ideal. So now to have the same boat with a proper powerplant is a huge perk. It also has a custom Kicker stereo hitting 7 huge speakers with 1200w of Kicker amps. This boat will also have a first for MossBoats, a tuna tower on the top! It will be custom made for the boat. This boat will end up being a keeper for the Mossboats family for the 2023 season until it moves on to a new family.

#42: 2007 Triumph 21’ CC 150 4-stroke

Here we have it, our first boat of 2023! We love Triumph boats. They have a super strong hull and everything is always so tight and correct. With a Yamaha 150hp 4-stroke it is a winning combo. The trailer is a 2017 aluminum tandem axle and ready to rip! This boat is already super clean and features a white powder coated top / bow rail. Super stoked to get it here and see what she can do on the West Coast. Mossboats is is full force and ready to hit the summer 2023 market, hard!

#41: 1999 Proline 20’ CC 225 4-stroke

When you see the big words PROLINE on an ad, you gotta take it seriously. These hulls dominate. And we’ve been doing this long enough to know that Proline boats are some of the best around. They are simple, strong and straight to the point. Not a lot of fluff, not a ton of creature comforts, just study designs. If you look in the bilge of any proline, you will see how tidy these boats are. Super clean, very strong, no cracks, no flaws, no quirks. They build a great boat. Pair that with our favorite engine, the Yamaha 225hp 4-stroke you have a winning package. This one will need a little de-cluttering and some love, but what boat doesn’t. Running 50+mph in open ocean is the goal here. Just gonna send it.

#40: 2000 SeaPro 20’ WA 150hp 2-stroke

There we have it! 40th boat has been purchased. SeaPro is one of our favorite brands. They are as strong as can be, super fast and are packed with fishing essentials that we must have when dealing with our San Diego waters. This boat was recommended to us from a previous guy we have worked with. We bought boat #17 from ‘Skip’. And he got this boat on trade for an RV he had. Right when he took the boat home and cleaned it up, he called me and asked if I wanted to make a deal. YUP. A quick video call, engine test and wire transfer and the boat was ours. This 20’ Walk Around has a 150hp Yamaha 2-stroke engine that is the HPDI (High Pressure Direct Injection) powerhouse. Super reliable, strong, starts right up and from what I can tell needs nothing. It doesn’t have a hard top but in a way thats okay to ensure west-coast and make a new fisherman VERY happy.

#39: 2006 Carolina 22'‘ CC 150hp 4-stroke

I have been reading about the Carolina Skiff sea chaser for a while now. I’ve seen a few but none that really had that “gotta have it” factor. Until I found this gem. With a Honda 150hp 4-stroke, a super clean trailer, bottom paint and a Garmin $1k GPS system, it was a deal that needed to be added to the fleet. These boats are tough! Known for their super dry rides, deep hulls and 9’ beams (most boats at 8.6’) this boat is going to do wonders out here on the West Coast. As we approach our 40th boat, we are humbled that our business model has been working. We’ll continue to buy clean boats for our wonderful for the amazing So-cal fishing community. We don’t stop till everyone has a boat!

#38: 2005 SeaFox 26’ CC 225hp 4-stroke

We love a good SeaFox. Again, arguably one of the best fishing boat manufacturers around. They make a variety of boats and we’ve had quite a few sizes. A boat we really liked was boat #13. It was a 257 and everyone seemed to really like it. So when we found this gem pop up, we knew we wanted to do it again! This boat is 26’ long and pushes it along with a bulletproof 225hp 4-stroke mercury outboard. Packed with all the bells and whistles this beast of a boat is going to be a huge hit out here in San Diego. It is heavy, durable and packs a crowd!

#37: 2005 Triumph 21’ CC 140hp 4-stroke

The last triumph we got (#29) was a huge hit. It got snatched up by a really cool buyer who immediately took the tower off for black powder coat, added a complete wrap and stacked it with deep sea fishing gear. THIS is exactly why we do what we do. We want to bring bad-ass boats to the San Diego fishing grounds and watch them be used to their full potential. These boats are indestructible with their hull manufacturing process. The previous owner owned it for 13 years and took really good care of it. This one has a Suzuki 140hp 4-stroke. Boat rips, looks great, very reliable and feels like a big jet ski. When you hit it with your hand it feels like a kayak. Silly and very cool boats.

#36: 2011 Yamaha 242 Limited S Jet Boat

Well this isn’t something we are used too, but figured it was time to switch it up and have some fun this beautiful summer of 2022. Yamaha makes some of the best products known to man. We have collected a variety of Yamaha products over the years from dirt bikes, side-by-sides, outboards and everything in between. When it came time to get a family / friend ski boat we knew the Yamaha Jet boat was in the top of the list. Then we found this beauty and was actually LOCAL to San Diego. It boasts (2) 1.8l engines that get this big 24ft boat up to 50mph in a few seconds. Great for tubing, wakeboarding, wake surfing and all the things friends can enjoy. We’ll hold onto this one for a few weeks as we get our feet wet (literally) on fun bay days with the families and friends.

#35: 2003 SeaPro 20’ CC 150hp 4-stroke

We found this one the same time as the Proline and figured what better twin to bring to the club than a boat that matched up in every way! SeaPro makes an incredible platform. What I love most is the dual live wells in the back. They can each hold a full scoop of bait which is crucial out here in San Diego when we thrive on live bait to catch those bigger fish. What is even better, is this boat was ALSO re-powered. It has a super fresh 150hp 4-stroke outboard with only 200hrs. Not a scratch on it. These engines are bulletproof and will scoot this light boat in open ocean over 40mph. Excited to see her out on the west coast doing our fisheries proud!

#34: 2002 Proline 20’ CC 200hp 4-stroke

When you see a clean Proline, you just gotta scream “I need that” every once in a while. That was the case with this beauty. The thing that stood out, it has a 2015 200hp 4-stroke yamaha outboard strapped to the back. With only 460hrs it was a must have for the MossBoats club. You don’t see these amazing center consoles very often repowered with quality engines. The rest of the boat is flawless and fish ready. The trailer just had a ton of work done as well including axles, bunks and new tires. Given that it is coming from Miami, Fl… everything is going to have to be in tip top shape in order to make the trek!

#33: 1999 Cobia 20’ CC 150hp 2-stroke

We finally did it! We found a OX66 engine! 150hp of pure 2-stroke madness. One of the best engines Yamaha ever made. When we saw this boat that was one of the selling features. The other was the electronics package. It has a 12'“ GO Simrad GPS / fish finder system Comes with a 3D mapping 3 in 1 transducer. AND a Simrad radar system. On top of all that, it has a 700.5 marine JL audio amp, (4) JL 770 M3 speakers, and (2) 10” JL subs. BOOM. The boat is also extremely clean. Has been well taken care of. Everything works. And will make a great fishing boat out here on the West Coast. Will hit 45mph in open ocean and get to the tuna grounds, fast! HAPPY MossBoats over here!

#32: 2001 Proline 20’ WA 150hp 2-stroke

Back to back Proline boats! We were so impressed with the quality, attention to detail, craftsmanship of our 23’ Proline we had to do it again. I hit the marketplace trails in search of another clean Proline that I figured our San Diego market would like. And then this beauty popped. The perfect starter boat for someone looking to get into offshore fishing. This boat has a 150hp Mercury 2-stroke, 2 live wells, washdown, a huge top / tower, tons of rocket launchers, LED lights and a quality fish finder. It is fish ready and she will make it out to the deep fishing grounds and back no problem.

#31: 2003 Proline 23’ WA 225hp 2-stroke

These big, clean, strong, durable walk around boats don’t come around very often. When they do, we jump on them… fast! This one has a beast of a power-plant. 225hp, 6 cylinder, 2 stroke mercury. Pushes the boat over 50mph in open ocean. Which makes for a GREAT time on the water. Fully loaded with live well, stereo, underwater lights, fresh water sink, salt water wash-down trim tabs and a sturdy aluminum trailer. With Tuna season around the corner as we enter May 2022, this one will be a great boat for the Moss Boats arsenal.

#30: 2006 SeaFox 23’ CC 225hp 4-stroke

Here we go again, another SeaFox joins the MossBoats family. This marks boat #30 in 18 months. I never thought we’d move this quickly but it has been a super fun journey. We love these SeaFox boats. The 23’ is a powerful size. Big enough to take on the wildest swells of so-cal, but also nimble enough to trailer and maneuver around the docks. Featuring a 225hp Mercury 4-stroke power plant. Only has 700hrs. These engines are basically Yamaha outboards with a different cowling so they will certainly last forever. Packed with GPS, lots of speakers, our first subwoofer, LED light bar, huge live well, etc. Looking forward to sharing this one with the fishing community. Tuna are here, let’s go get ‘em!

#29: 2007 Triumph 21’ CC 150hp 4-stroke

Triumph boats feature some of the most unique hulls around. They developed their own special material they call Roplene. It is a combination of polyurethane and UV protecting materials. It is essentially the same material that Yeti and RTIC use to make their coolers. VERY strong. Indestructible! This sweet 2007 popped up on the market and within 2 hrs it was ours. Featuring a 150hp Yamaha 4-stroke. This engine is perfect for this little ripper. It also features 2 huge Simrad units, front trolling motor, 5 deep cell batteries, stereo and all the goodies. Looking forward to getting it into the hands of our San Diego fisherman friends.

#28: 2000 Cobia 21’ CC 225hp 4-stroke

2022 started off with a bang and MossBoats is back on the grind. This is our first boat of the year right in our wheel house of favorite boats we love. This 21’ Cobia Center Console has a 225hp Yamaha 4-stroke with only 400hrs. The interior and exterior was just redone. New dash, fresh speakers, LED’s, this boat is rip rap ready to go! We learned a lot about what customers like from the boats we purchased last year, and our theory holds up. Modern center console fishing boats with reliable engines are super popular!

#27: 2014 Harris 22’ Pontoon 115hp 4-stroke

Who doesn’t love a good party on the water? With a pontoon boat you have a floating barge that is exactly that. Our first pontoon boat for the MossBoats fleet and we couldn’t have picked a better one. There 2 things to really consider when getting a pontoon: 1) is the floor aluminum. 2) is there a beefy 4-stroke off the back? When the answer is yes to both, you jump on it! That was the case with this beautiful Harris 22ft pontoon. We had to have it. Coming from Florida she will live the rest of her days on the west coast. We are excited to send her on her way to have a family enjoy her in all her glory.

#26: 2000 Boston Whaler 17’ CC 90hp

Everyone knows that Boston Whalers are cool. HOW cool may be the only debate you would overhear when having such a discussion. When we saw this Whaler we knew it was for us. This boat weighs almost nothing, and has a 90hp 2-stroke yamaha strapped to the back. That means this boat may be the fastest boat we have ever had in the fleet. It supposedly goes 51mph and only a few inches off the ground means this is going to be a hoot and hauler of a boat. This is a classic Whaler design, the Montauk has been more or less the same boat for 3 decades. Unsinkable, strong, smooth, refined and ready to go. This little boat has a cult-like following and we are very excited to have it live the rest of its days launching waves in San Diego.

#25: 2009 Hurricane 21’ CC 225hp 4-stroke

When we saw this boat we were like, what’s that! All we knew it was pretty, blue, had a center console, and had a huge 225hp Yamaha 4-stroke. Count me in! We found out some more and these boats are built like tanks. They are super strong and support a deep V for ocean exploring. Has a large bait tank, a raw wash down station, tons of seating and storage. Sounds like a good time and perfect for Moss Boats! So we bought it, and it is gorgeous! This is also our newest boat to date with a 2009 we will be sure to get more newer boats in our arsenal as we continue the journey to bring clean, reliable and fish slaying boats to the West coast!

#24: 2005 Sea Fox 21’ CC 140hp 4-stroke

We love Sea Fox. They are durable. Clean. Strong. And amazing boats for all walks of life. They are a fun bay boat to hang out with the family. But they also can handle a bloody deck with the boys on a Saturday fishing adventure. This little boat just screams fun. It hosts a 140hp 4-stroke engine with only 250hrs. It runs like perfect and can go over 300 miles on a single tank of gas. Perfect for chasing down the fish all over the West coast.

IMG_3105.JPG

#23: 2007 Sea Fox 216 WA 150hp 4-stroke

Another beautiful Sea Fox to hit the Moss Boat inventory parking lot. This boat is an amazing fish slaying machine and ready to go at a moments notice. As we grow and continue to expand, we really like the more modern hull designs that these boats have to offer. They are wildly popular, look great, extremely strong, capable and dependable boats. When you pair it with a Suzuki 150hp 4-stroke outboard the combination is excellent and perfect for offshore fishing. This boat gets amazing fuel efficiency and can go over 300 miles on a single tank. A great boat ready to enter her second life on the San Diego coast.

#22: 2001 Cobia 234 CC 225hp 4-stroke

It is pretty apparent that we like Cobia boats. They are super strong, look good and have a great fishing layout. The attention to fit and finish on these boats is top notch. This is our third Cobia and I’d say the cleanest one yet. This Cobia 234 features a 225hp 4-stroke with only 400hrs. These engines are bulletproof and continue to crank out speed as you haul to the fishing grounds. Packed with electronics such as fish finder, VHF, and our first boat to have a radar system. Everything works on this boat and is ready to hit the west-coast, fast! Feel confident with the right boat. This boat will bring you to the bluefin tuna and it’s your job to bring them to the deck.

#21: 2001 Parker 2520 MV 250hp 4-stroke

Okay, I feel like we have officially made it! We just bought our first Pilot House Parker boat! For anyone that knows these boats, they know how special they are. They are built like tanks. Have had the same hull design for decades because they are that good. This beautiful 2001 is a Mod-V hull design which is perfect for the west coast fishing grounds we have to offer. With a 9’ 6” beam it is the widest boat in the fleet by a foot! It has a strong 314hr Yamaha 250hp 4-stroke outboard that is just barely broken in. This boat needs a little clean up but will shine like new when we are done with her.

IMG_2589.JPG

#20: 2000 Hydra Sports 21’ 200hp 2-stroke

We have had a lot of requests for affordable walk around cabin boats recently. So it was time to get another one. This boat is all original featuring a strong Johnson 200hp outboard. With only 260 hours, she runs strong and runs hard. A simple boat yet refined and ready to fish. This boat is perfect for staying out of the elements and chasing down the fish anywhere you want to go. Mexico, north to the 181, this boat will take you there and back with ease. Don’t let the 2-stroke scare you. These engines are known to have as many hours as modern 4-strokes. They are so simple and require limited to no maintenance. Get this and get the fish.

#19: 2002 Cobia 23’ CC 250hp 2-stroke

When I read more about the Evinrude 250hp 2-stroke etec engine, I knew I had to get one. The hunt was on and then this beauty popped up. A super clean, and I mean SUPER clean Cobia 234 Center Console fishing boat. Outfitted with a 2016 250hp etec powerplant. This boat is capable of 60mph and fits 10 people. Cobia makes an amazing boat and the 234 is the perfect size to chase down fish in the big waves without an issue. #17: 2004 Sea Pro 22’ CC 225hp 4-stroke

This is one of those boats when we saw it, we HAD to have it. Luckily for us it was listed for only 1 hour before I inquired the seller. We did a walk around video and that did this boat even MORE justice. Beautifully maintained and flawless inside and out. Supporting a strong Yamaha 4-stroke 225hp outboard, this boat rips. Tipping the gauges at 50mph she’ll get you to the fishing grounds, quickly! This is one of those boats we wish we could keep. But we can’t keep em all, so onto the next owner it goes. We hope to see this one at the bait docks again soon.

#16: 2002 Sea Fox 24’ CC 225hp 4-stroke

“DANNNNG thats a noice boat!” Is what everyone will say when they see this thing heading out to open ocean. This Sea Fox is a legacy in the center console fishing world. It is fast, nimble, light, powerful and a fish hunting machine. Everyone loves a Sea Fox and we know these boats will happily continue to explore the open oceans on the West Coast. With a bulletproof Mercury 225hp 4-stroke, this engine is quickly becoming a Moss Boats favorite as we know they can handle anything you throw at them. It is basically a Yamaha engine with a different hood. No differences which is good for maintenance purposes. And with only 300hrs she is just getting broken in. FISH ON!

#15: 2000 Key West 22’ CC 225hp 4-stroke

Who doesn’t love another center console! Key West has been a proud boat manufacturer for years and this boat screams quality. The business side of this boat supports a fresh Yamaha 225hp 4-stroke outboard. At only 22’ this is one of the fastest boats in the MossBoats fleet. Doesn’t need anything and is fish ready with a live well, huge t-top, dual fish finders, swim step and plenty of rocket launchers. These 20"‘+ center consoles with a 4 stroke are the reason we got into MossBoats in the first place. They are super fun, reliable, affordable and bring a smile to your face every time. She is in San Diego and ready for the new owners to continue her legacy of off-shore fishing on the West Coast.

#14: 2004 Cobia 26’ CC 225hp 4-stroke

We love a good center console. The bigger the better. We have yet to jump to the 2 engine outboard size, so until that happens we want to go as big as we can with a single engine. This is that boat. 26’ just like the SeaFox that we just got. These boats mean business. They are hardcore fishing machines. This one features a super reliable 400hr 225 Yamaha 4-stroke outboard. Has a stereo, outriggers, 35g live well, porta-potty, 2 huge coolers, rear and front seating, and a HDS12m GPS. Serious business for a serious boat. We are excited to get this one on the water!

#13: 2007 SeaFox 26’ CC 250hp 4-stroke

When we saw this boat we had to have it. The blue painted hull is a dead give away that this is a SeaFox. Arguably the best fishing boat manufacturer in the game. This 26’ boat is all business. Supporting a 2011 250hp Suzuki outboard with only 100hrs. Outriggers, dual live well, massive front seating / fish boxes, she is ready to rock! The couple we got it from has babied it for the last 10 years. Coming from Florida you see these boats all over the place. We are excited to have her spend the rest of her days surfing the California waters.

#12: 1996 Proline 20’ CC 150hp 4-stroke

This is one of those boats that when you see it, you have to buy it right away, because they go fast! This wonderful lady listed it for sale and we were first to contact her within 20 minutes. We were able to secure the boat and bought it the next day. These Proline 20’ hulls feel more like a jet ski than a boat. They are super light and hop out of the water. Supporting a fresh 2013 Yamaha 150hp 4 stroke, this boat is going to love running up and down the coast for years to come. Live well, a huge T-top and all working electronics ensures it will be a huge hit for the next family. This is our first boat to support a single axle trailer. Given that the boat and motor package weighs less than 3k lbs it will be no problem for this fresh aluminum trailer.

#11: 2005 ProSports 21’ Walk Around 250hp

We have seen a lot of ProSports boats popping up lately. These sturdy hulls were very popular in the early 2000’s and support a variety of sizes and models. The first ProsSports we got was a 23’ with a 225hp 4 stroke. THIS one, is a 21’ with a 250hp 2 stroke. So it is lighter, smaller, and more powerful. Which means, it flies! This boat will hit 50mph on open ocean if you dare to do so. The HPDI 250hp 2 stroke engine is one of the best around. They are super reliable and as long as you maintain them properly, will last a very long time. Just like most MossBoats, this boat is fish ready and guaranteed to make any family happy on the water.

#10: 2003 ProSports 23’ Walk Around 225hp

Our first walk around boat was the 99’ Key West boat listed a few boats down. We loved it so much we decided to get another one! This one supports a 225hp Yamaha 4 stroke outboard with only 400hrs. The boat is 1 owner and has been meticulously maintained. Packed with all the goodies to ensure you have a safe, fun and productive day on the water. With the large aluminum top and multiple rocket launchers, this boat is ready for hours of trolling the San Diego fishing grounds.

#9: 2002 Proline 22’ CC 200hp 2-stroke

We got hands on another 2 stroke! The first 2 stroke MossBoats ever had was a Wellcraft 21’. It was a great boat that got us into where we are now. 2 strokes are strong, light and reliable if you know what to look for. Keep the temperatures down, ensure it has oil and these engines will run for decades. This is our first Mercury 2 stroke and has 200hp and low hours. The Proline 22’ center console follows the exact boat we tend to stick too… strong, reliable and early 2000’s hulls that are ready to take on new life on the West Coast. This little boat doesn’t need anything and will make a new family very happy taking on the fishing grounds.

#8: 2004 Polar 21’ CC 225hp 4-stroke

When this boat came into our view, we knew it was something we had to have. This was the first boat we got with a Honda engine featuring a 225hp 4 stroke with only 220 hours. Like all Hondas, it runs great and needs nothing. Strong little boat that is light, agile, and a fishing machine with a huge live well. This boat is fish ready and capable of taking on the the deep water all over the west coast. The only downfall is it doesn’t have a t-top tower, but that is okay. The new owner will most likely custom make one to their liking.

#4: 1998 Aquacraft 21’ Dual Console 175hp

We love center console fishing boats. But when this dual console fishing boat with a deep V-hull featuring a fresh Suzuki 175hp 4-stroke outboard popped up, we knew we had to have it. It is super clean and runs flat out at 45mph. The tower keeps you out of the sun and ensures other boaters that she’s is a serious fishing vessel. Equipped with a bait tank, wrap around seating and packed with electronics. Put away the poles and you can tow tubes with the family and enjoy a snack on the bow with wrap around seating. We loved the Wellcraft so much so we kept our streak going. This time, with a more modern and updated engine. Featuring a 150hp Yamaha outboard she maxes out at 40+mph. Originally owned in Georgia, she made a 2,300 mile cross-country trek to San Diego with zero issues. One of the cleanest center consoles you will find, especially for the price point. Fully loaded with a circular bait well, large 9” fish finder / GPS, VHF radio and a waterproof stereo. She is fish ready and always excited for a good time.

#1: 1999 Wellcraft 21’ CC 150hp 2-stroke

The first of the Moss Boats fleet. A beautiful hull made by Wellcraft, this boat started it all. Featuring a Johnson 150hp 2-stroke outboard, she peaked at 36mph and we never had one issue. Simple maintenance was conducted with our shop mechanic and she was back on the market.
